School is back in session, and during September we commemorate significant events:  The Great Hurricane of 1900 which devastated Galveston (still the worst natural disaster in U.S. history),  September 11 (still fresh in the minds of adults but not for many of today's school children), Constitution Day, Banned Book Week, and the "birth" of the "Star-Spangled Banner."
