Attached to this email, you will find the Indiana Library Federation's
Legislative Position that was recommended by the Legislative Committee on
January 8, 2008 and adopted by the Indiana Library Federation's Executive
Committee on January 21, 2008.

 

In the past it has been somewhat easy for the Federation to craft the
legislative action plan.  However, this year it became more difficult with
property tax issues and the Shepherd/Kernan Commission's report.  So as a
body, we felt it was more important to stress what we stand for and our
willingness to support those ideas that will provide library service for all
citizens of Indiana.
